Frances Yudelson Kuniansky, a native of Atlanta, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the age of 91. Frances was the daughter of Anne and Sol Yudelson, also of Atlanta. She graduated from Girls' High before going to Athens to attend The University of Georgia. She was married to Harry P. Kuniansky. Frances started her volunteer service at the age of sixteen when she was chairman of the first Youth Division of the Jewish Welfare Fund Drive.(now Jewish Federation) She later held several volunteer jobs with Federation including chairperson of the Cover-all Division. Frances also served on the board of the Jewish Home and the Kahn Group Home for senor citizens and was a member of the Community Services Task Force for the year 2000 Committee, The Disabilities Committee and the Community Planning Committee for Atlanta Jewish Federation. Frances was most proud of being a founder and president of the Atlanta Group Home, Inc. Her daughter, Jill, who had Down syndrome, shared a fulfilling life at The Atlanta Group Home for 25 years with five other residents and amazing house parents, Deborah and Dennis Lowe. Frances loved being involved in all aspects of her children's activities including school fund raisers, being a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, team Mom for several sports teams, and hosting spend-the-night parties for her kids and their friends almost every weekend at their Old Ivy home. She enjoyed entertaining. Many dinner parties took place at Old Ivy with Frances' beloved white German Shepherd Dogs greeting guests at the door! Frances is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years Harry P. Kuniansky, their daughter Jill, Frances' sister Edith Smith, and her brother Harold Yudelson. Frances is survived by her daughter Carol Cleveland (Kevin), son Alan Kuniansky (Peggy), daughter Laura Kuniansky (Joe Smith), grandchildren Adam Cleveland (Katy), Eli Cleveland (Kaitlyn Krauskopf), Jake Kuniansky and Annie Kuniansky, and great-grandchildren Anna and Jane Cleveland.

Jill KUNIANSKY was born on 25 December 1959 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.⁴⁸ She died on 19 June 2009 at the age of 49 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.²⁰¹ Jill Ellen Kuniansky passed away quietly Friday, June 19. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to parents Harry P. and Frances Kuniansky. Jill was the youngest of four siblings, Carol Cleveland, Alan Kuniansky, and Laura Kuniansky. Jill was a 25-year resident of The Atlanta Group Home which she considered her second family. She was very active in the Atlanta Activities for the Mentally Handicapped and led the Special Olympics Parade twirling a baton. Jill graduated from Northside High School and was a Georgia Bulldog fan. She could put a smile on the face of anyone and never knew a stranger. Jill loved bowling with The Atlanta Group home bowling league. Many will miss her cheerful attitude. Memorial Services will be held on Monday June 22 at The Temple on Peachtree at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The Atlanta Group Home, 2260 Pinecliff Dr. Atlanta, Georgia 30345-3606.
