266. Mina BRAWDE was born estimated 1917 in Kaunas, Lithuania.⁵⁴ According to Rella Sloman,
Mina went to the Sorbonne in Paris about 1938. She fell in love with a politically active young man. He died. She joined the partisans, and after the war married the leader of her group, Vojo Kovacevich. He rose to the rank of general in the Yugoslavian military and was very close to Marshall Tito.

Mina lived well and owned a castle in Yugoslavia. She wrote a book of her memoirs (Now in the posession of Peggy Mosinger Freedman.) She had two children. Her daughter emigrated to Israel, but her son lost an eye (perhaps while in the Yugoslavian military) and was totally disabled so Mina stayed in Yugoslavia (I'm unsure which section) to take care of him and his family.
