19. Abbe SULSKI^6,12,54 was born on 5 June 1867 in Jonava, Lithuania.^9,12 The Hebrew date of birth is Sivan 14. He died after 1939 at the age of 72. Abbe was drafted in the Russian National Guard in 1886. (1887 List of Residents of Janova)

According to Rella Sloman, her grandfather was born in Jonava but moved to Kovna and never returned to the countryside. He developed an extensive and varied business that employed all of his sons and son-in-law. The whole extended family lived together in Kovna.
After his first wife died, the shodchan (matchmaker) brought a prospective match to the house while the family was sitting shiva. His children were appalled, but he silenced them by threatening to marry a young woman and have more children if they were not nice to
his second wife.
In 1937 when his brothers, Wolfe Sulski and Joe Saul came to visit, they encouraged him to leave Lithuania. But he asked them if his whole family could live as well in either South Africa or America. They acknowledged that it would not be the same and he refused to leave.

Rella also remembers that Jabotinsky came and spoke at her grandfather's house when he was recruiting young people to move to Palestine. Mina was enthusiastic and joined the party.

Abbe SULSKI and Rella Beilia ? were married before 1884. Rella Beilia ?^6,9 was born in 1866 in Lithuania.⁹

Abbe SULSKI and Ruda Ethel ? were married before 1937 in Kovna, Lithuania.⁵⁴ Ruda Ethel ?⁵⁴ was born estimated 1880. She worked as a doctor and was considered an 'old maid' when she became Abbe Sulski's second wife.
