251. Florence LEVINE was born on 1 September 1918 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. She died on 20 January 2014 at the age of 95 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. GLASS, Florence Levine Florence Levine Glass died peacefully on January 20, 2014 at the age of 95. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born in Atlanta, graduated from Girls High School, and was a lifelong member of Ahavath Achim Synagogue. She was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years Sam Glass and her son Steven Joel Glass. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Ron Glass and JoAnn Cardon, daughter and son in law Marcia Glass-Siegel and Steve Siegel, daughter in law, Harriet Stone; grandchildren, Erin and Eric Mermelstein, Daniel Stone and Jeana Stone, Jana and John Camerin, Allison and Robert Beldick, Micha, Benjamin, and Saul Glass- Siegel, and seven great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral Services will be held on January 23rd at Greenwood Cemetery.

Florence LEVINE and Sam GLASS were married on 8 January 1939 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Sam GLASS^53,198 was born on 17 February 1917 in Vosnesansk, Russia.⁴⁸ He resided 1323 Chalmette Drive, NE in Atlanta, Georgia, USA in 1951. He died on 17 November 2002 at the age of 85 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.¹⁹⁹ Sam was buried on 18 November 2002 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.¹⁹⁹ He was a President of Yudelson Shoe Company. He was a President of Yudelson Shoe Company. Sam Glass grew up in Atlanta and attended Hoke Smith Junior High School, Boys High School and graduated from Atlanta Law School in 1938. He owned the Star Shoe Store along Whitehall Street until 1978, obtained a real estate license upon his retirement and began purchasing, rehabbing and selling houses. He was a part owner of Harris, Inc, including the restaurant chain Dunk-N-Dine.

He was an active member of Ahavath Achim, where he taught religious school for more than 35 years. He also served on the Lauderdale Lakes Planning and Zoning Commission for 10 years, on the Florida Medical Center advisory board and as president of his condominium association for nine years. He wrote a grant proposal and received funding to establish R-U-OK, a computerized service to phone elderly people living alone.
