He is survived by his wife, Nancy of 58 years, sons, Robert Klenberg and wife, Ming Yang, Martin Klenberg and his wife, Valerie, grandchildren Danielle Eva Stein, Melissa Ilana Stein, Eli Frank Klenberg, and Kaia Zia Grace Klenberg. He is also survived by his devoted caretaker, Bassey Offiong, many dear cousins, close life-long friends, and nieces and nephews. Max graduated from Georgia Military Academy, University of Georgia, and was a veteran of the US Navy. Max was in the retail business in Atlanta, Ga including Richard's Variety store, Bargain City and Nancy Rose Linens. On almost any given afternoon for many years Max would be at his favorite hangout, Bitsy Grant Tennis Center . Following retirement Nancy and Max moved to Florida to be close to Nancy's mother and daughter Karen. They moved back to Atlanta, their real home, to be with family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice Atlanta, or A.A. synagogue.
